Types of Dental Sedation
We offer sedation options, as needed, to keep your little one relaxed and smiling throughout their visit. We have advanced specialty training for all three of these types of sedation.
Our team also encourages parents to let their child bring a small toy or item, like a teddy bear, to their appointment for additional comfort. Here are the sedation options we offer:
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) — Often called “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is a gentle, quick-acting option that helps kids feel calm and cheerful. It’s administered through a small mask, and once the treatment is done, it wears off fast.
Oral Conscious Sedation — We provide oral conscious sedation before your child's appointment to help ease their nerves and ensure a more comfortable experience. This sedation option helps your child feel relaxed and at ease while remaining awake and responsive during the procedure.
General Anesthesia — For more complex or longer procedures, we can use general anesthesia. Though it sounds a bit more high-tech, think of it as a special deep-relaxation option. It’s carefully monitored by our expert team so your child is safe, comfortable, and in good hands throughout the treatment.
No matter which option is chosen, our goal is to make every dental visit stress-free and safe. We’re here to transform the idea of a dentist appointment into an adventure where smiles shine bright, and nerves simply melt away.
